Business Development Manager
• Based in either Cape Town or Johannesburg
• 5 – 10 years sales experience in consulting and IT services
• Experience in Selling, Consulting, Analytics and Technology Tervices and Solutions is essential
• SAP license and technology sales experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of software solutions and the technology industry
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
• Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and
competitive landscapes.
• Analyze market data to develop strategic plans for software sales.
• Generate and qualify leads through various channels, including cold calling,
networking, and digital outreach.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to develop effective lead generation campaigns.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Understand clients’ business needs and challenges to provide tailored software
solutions.
• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product
development and marketing efforts.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential
clients.
• Clearly articulate the value proposition of our software solutions.
• Negotiate contract terms and pricing to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
• Close deals and achieve sales quotas within specified timeframes.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and track all sales activities using CRM tools.
• Provide regular updates and reports on sales performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and
customer support, to ensure a cohesive and customer-centric approach.
• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
• Continuously update product knowledge to effectively communicate features and
benefits to clients.
