Senior Test Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support key programme deliverables within a complex banking and payments environment.

The role will focus on test strategy, end-to-end testing, UAT, defect management, participant certification and ensuring that all testing activities meet programme, quality and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, entry and exit criteria, and testing governance processes
  • Review business requirements, technical documentation, APIs and interfaces to identify test scenarios and coverage requirements
  • Develop and maintain test cases, scripts, test data requirements and traceability matrices
  • Coordinate and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, certification and conformance testing
  • Manage defects from identification and logging through to retesting and closures
  • Coordinate testing across participant systems, vendor platforms, sandbox environments and external interfaces
  • Support UAT preparation, execution, reporting, validation and sign-off
  • Support participant certification, readiness assessments and evidence management
  • Coordinate test environments, data availability, onboarding, endpoint validation and access requirements
  • Identify testing risks, dependencies and issues and recommend practical mitigation strategies
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, vendors, participant banks and programme teams
  • Ensure testing artefacts and evidence meet governance, quality and industry requirements

Requirements

  • 7–10 years’ experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance
  • Experience working within Agile, Scrum and Waterfall environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field
  • ISTQB or equivalent software-testing certification advantageous
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Banking, Payments, Fintech, Financial Services or Payment-Scheme environments.

Strong experience in:

  • Functional testing
  • System integration testing
  • UAT
  • End-to-end testing
  • Regression testing
  • Certification and conformance testing
  • Experience with API testing, web services, message-based integrations and data validation.
  • Experience working with multiple vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience within regulated financial-services environments.
  • Strong knowledge of defect management, test governance and audit-evidence practices

Senior Banking Business Analyst

Our client is looking for two experienced Senior Business Analysts with strong banking industry experience to support digital banking projects and system improvement initiatives. These roles require professionals who can analyse business requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive successful project delivery in fast-paced banking environments.

Role 1 – Senior BA (Industrial Engineering Advantage)
• 5+ years’ Business Analysis experience.
• Banking industry background essential.
• Industrial Engineering background or qualification highly advantageous.
• Hybrid/remote role based at client site.

Role 2 – Traditional Senior BA
• Strong traditional Business Analysis experience.
• Must understand banking operations and processes.
• Not a Systems Analyst role.
• 4 days per week onsite in Rosebank.

Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
• Collaborate with users, developers, and IT teams to improve systems and processes.
• Support testing, system validation, user training, and implementation activities.
• Maintain process documentation and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Communicate insights, technical issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications
• Degree, diploma, or certification in IT, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience and Knowledge
• 7+ years’ experience as a Business or Systems Analyst.
• Digital banking experience required.
• Experience with requirements gathering, testing, and process documentation.
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to interpret queries.
• Exposure to project management or team leadership advantageous.
